PDFixed (pdfixed.com) is an online service based in Pakistan that offers free PDF tools and paid PDF editing by real experts. In this policy, “PDFixed”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of pdfixed.com, and “you” means anyone who visits the website or uses our services.

PDFixed is operated by Shahbaz Saeed (Founder & CEO), based in Lahore, Pakistan.

We collect as little information as possible:

• Information you send us — when you use our contact form or email us: your name, email address, your message and any PDF you attach.
• Technical information — like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. These records help keep the website secure and working properly.
• Your settings — your chosen language is part of the page address, and your light or dark theme choice is saved only in your own browser.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we never ask for payment card details on this website.

All of our free online tools (such as Merge, Split, Compress, Edit, Sign and OCR PDF) work entirely inside your web browser. The files you choose are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers, so we cannot see, copy or keep them. The software and language files some tools need, such as the OCR language data, are served from our own website, not from third parties.

Files you send to our experts are different: we store them securely so we can do the work you asked for. We use them only for your job and delete them within 30 days. Files sent through our contact form are deleted from our server automatically.

We use your information only to:

• reply to your messages and send you quotes
• carry out and deliver the editing work you ask for
• keep the website secure, fix problems and understand how it is used
• meet our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Where the law of your country requires a legal reason to use personal information (for example in the European Union and the United Kingdom), we rely on:

• a contract or your request — to reply to your messages, send quotes and do the work you ask for
• our legitimate interests — to keep the website secure, fix problems and understand how it is used

We only share information with trusted services that help us run PDFixed:

• our web hosting provider, which stores the website and the files sent to our experts
• our email provider, which delivers messages between you and us
• Bunny Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used on the website
• Google and other advertising partners, for the adverts described above, and Google Analytics if we use it

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users. We never sell your data.

PDFixed is run from Pakistan, and our hosting and email providers may store your information on servers in other countries. This means your information can be processed outside the country where you live, including outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.

When personal information is sent abroad, we use only providers we trust, share only what is needed, and protect it as described in this policy. Files used with our free tools never leave your device, so this does not apply to them.

• Messages and emails you send us: up to 2 years, so we can answer follow-up questions and keep records of our work.
• Files sent to our experts: deleted within 30 days.
• Technical records kept by our hosting provider: usually no longer than 90 days.
• Files used with our free tools: never stored, because they never leave your device.

Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union or the United Kingdom), you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct or delete it
• object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

If you live in a US state with privacy laws (such as California), you also have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. PDFixed is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new tools or services. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. If the changes are important, we will make them clear on the website.
