Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They help the website remember things between pages, such as keeping a form secure. Other technologies, like your browser’s local storage, work in a similar way.

PDFixed itself sets only these cookies, which are needed for the website to work:

• pdfixed-session — keeps your visit working as you move between pages, for example while you send the contact form. It expires after 2 hours without activity.
• XSRF-TOKEN — protects our forms against a type of attack called cross-site request forgery. It expires with your session.

We also save your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device. Because these items are strictly necessary, they do not need your consent.

The OCR PDF tool also saves its language files in your browser’s storage, so they only need to be downloaded once. They contain no personal information, are needed for the tool to work, and can be cleared in your browser settings.

PDFixed shows, or may show, adverts provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at www.google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of many third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices (or www.youronlinechoices.eu in Europe). In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising cookies are only used after you give consent through a Google-certified consent tool, and you can change your choice at any time.

We do not use analytics cookies at the moment. If we add a service such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, we will list it here and ask for your consent where required.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block essential cookies, parts of the website, such as the contact form, may stop working. You can also control personalised Google ads at www.google.com/settings/ads.

We will update this page whenever we add or change cookies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
